How to build a traditional teepee:

1. Cut and debark 15, 18-foot poles.  Stand them up and put them together in the shape of a teepee.
2. Kill several deer or elk.  Skin them and tan their hides.
3. Once the hides are ready, drape and stretch them around the poles.
4. Plant some Yucca.  Once it's harvested, use it to make some rope.
5. While you're waiting for the Yucca to grow, make a knife out of a stone. 
6. Once you've made your knife, use it to carve a sewing needle out of some animal bones.
7.  Using the Yucca and the animal bone needle, sew the hides together, so that there are no gaps.
8. That should be fine for now.  It'll be a work in progress.  You won't really know for sure until after the first storm hits.
